As New York presses more severe COVID-19 vaccine mandates, Governor Kathy Hochul signed Bill S.1016-B sponsored by State Senator Jim Gaughran back in October 2021 [ 1 | 1b ] in response to the death of 17 year old Dominic Murray. Dominic passed away during a school basketball game in response to a cardiac arrest way back in 2009 [ 2 | 2b ]. The Bill [ 3 | 3b | 3c ] titled “Dominic Murray sudden cardiac arrest prevention act” includes measures to identify and prevent further injury in adolescents experiencing heart attacks in private and public schools.

As well-intentioned as the legislation may be, many parents are not happy with the timing of this bill, especially with COVID-19 mandates for schools looming near, Jannsen’s vaccine seeing various cardiac and other safety warnings [ 4 | 4b ] [ 5 | 5b ] [ 6 | 6b ], and the already present ones with Moderna [ 7 | 7b ] [ 8 | 8b ] [ 9 | 9b ] and pFizer [ 10 | 10b ] [ 11 | 11b ] [ 12 | 12b ]. As the result of such a bill, terrified parents–like one from East Syracuse Minoa Central School District–received an email about upcoming regulations regarding sudden cardiac arrest in students.

One study released by The BMJ last month indicates dire warnings of cardiovascular events post-vaccination with Moderna and pFizer in the younger population:

Conclusions Vaccination with mRNA-1273 was associated with a significantly increased risk of myocarditis or myopericarditis in the Danish population, primarily driven by an increased risk among individuals aged 12-39 years, while BNT162b2 vaccination was only associated with a significantly increased risk among women.
